Kemin announces new hires and promotions

Kemin welcomes Luis Ochoa and Daniel Sykes to the company's animal nutrition and health division in North America. In other division news, Mick Ruffini and Cody Swan were promoted within the ruminant commercial team.

Kemin welcomes Luis Ochoa and Daniel Sykes to the company's animal nutrition and health division in North America. In other division news, Mick Ruffini and Cody Swan were promoted within the ruminant commercial team.

Dr. Luis Ochoa joins as a technical service manager for swine. Prior to joining Kemin, Ochoa completed his Ph.D. and masters of science in swine growth and management from the University of Illinois. Ochoa holds a bachelor of science in veterinary medicine and animal science from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He has authored numerous abstracts in swine nutrition and management and held internships with The Maschoffs and Granjas Carrol de Mexico.

Mick Ruffini has been promoted to regional sales manager for the ruminant team. Prior to his promotion, Ruffini served as the strategic accounts business director for United States and Canada. He joined Kemin in 1998 and holds a bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of Wyoming and a master of business administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Cody Swan has been promoted from key account manager to national accounts manager for the ruminant team. Prior to joining the commercial sales team, Swan was the product manager for KemTRACE Organic Trace Minerals and launched KemTRACE Chromium Propionate into the dairy industry in 2009; he joined Kemin in 2008. Swan holds a bachelor of science in animal science from Iowa State University.

Daniel Sykes joins as a swine sales associate focusing on customers in North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Prior to joining Kemin, Daniel was the research implementation coordinator at Murphy-Brown, LLC. Daniel has a bachelor of science in animal science and a master of science in animal physiology from Mississippi State University.
