Ridley AgriProducts, Australia's largest independent stockfeed manufacturer, has established a long-term feed supply agreement with Inghams Enterprises, the largest integrated producer of chicken and turkey products in Australia.
The agreement provides for adequate supply of stockfeed to Inghams' Queensland and South Australian operations. It will also lead to the re-opening of Ridley's Clifton stockfeed mill in South East Queensland and boost production at its South Australian stockfeed mills.
The Clifton mill, following a $1.3-million capital upgrade, is slated to start operations as a dedicated poultry stockfeed mill when it reopens in October.
The mill will supply Inghams more than 2,000 metric tons of broiler poultry feed per week. The firm's South Australian stockfeed mills are expected to follow suit within the next few years.
