Over 80 delegates from 30 companies attended recent Aviagen nutrition seminars for Xavergen and Best, two of Aviagen's customers in the Czech Republic. Aimed at broiler farmers, nutritionists and feed manufacturers, the seminars offered practical management advice on how to maximize the performance of their Ross products.

The meetings highlighted the economic benefits of providing good feed quality and nutrient specifications for Ross birds. To encourage a better understanding of feed quality, customers had the opportunity to take part in a session that involved handling and working with various feed types.

Advice was presented by members of the Aviagen technical team including Marcus Kenny, nutrition technical specialist, Neil Clark, technical service manager, and Vlada Zima, sales and technical manager.

"We are pleased at how well the events were received, and it's a great opportunity to get out and about and provide specialist support," Clark said. "The practical sessions have been a great success as they provide the delegates with the opportunity to put into practice the techniques and advice offered in the presentations. The combination of written advice and practical workshops provides customers with even greater knowledge on how to ensure they achieve the maximum potential from their Ross stock."

Zdenek Kristian, owner of Best Opava, commented, "The presentation and practical sessions were excellent, very informative and relevant to the issues that customers are currently experiencing."
