NFU members are set to make great savings on all their timber and building materials thanks to a new partnership formed with Jewson, the UK’s leading supplier of timber and building materials, according to a NFU press release.
An exclusive price list containing nearly 700 items most regularly purchased by NFU members has been negotiated for all farmer and grower, countryside and professional members and was launched at the 2009 NFU Conference in Birmingham, England.
Not only will every item in the price list be reduced by between 20 and 70%, the exclusive partnership will also provide members with 60% off all tool hire requirements, 20% off additional building materials as well as free home delivery.
“This shows that the NFU is acting in difficult times to ensure an improved bottom line for its members’ businesses,” said NFU’s head of membership Huw Hilditch Roberts. “Jewson, like the NFU, has strong local links and is in a great position to support farmers by giving them the best discount available.”
