Perdue AgriBusiness hires Animal Nutrition R&D director

Perdue AgriBusiness Animal Nutrition announces that Dr. Normand St-Pierre has joined its team as Director of Research and Technical Services in Salisbury, Md., effective April 1, 2016.

Perdue AgriBusiness Animal Nutrition announces that Dr. Normand St-Pierre has joined its team as Director of Research and Technical Services in Salisbury, Md., effective April 1, 2016.

“As Perdue AgriBusiness Animal Nutrition continues to be a leader in Amino Acid nutrition with science-based, research-driven products and services, Dr. St-Pierre will be critical in leading our research and development efforts,” said George Betton, Vice President of Animal Nutrition.  “Dr. St-Pierre will also be vital in providing technical support to the sales team as they work to meet customer needs.”

Dr. St-Pierre comes to Perdue AgriBusiness with 10 years of prior industry experience and nearly 20 years as Professor of Animal Science at The Ohio State University, where he built a world-renowned program in nutritional economics and dairy production systems.  He will be essential in leading Perdue AgriBusiness Animal Nutrition’s research and development efforts as well as providing technical support to the sales team.

Dr. St-Pierre holds a B.Sc. in Animal Science and a M.Sc. in Animal Nutrition from Laval University in Canada, and a Ph.D. in Dairy Science from The Ohio State University. After graduation, Dr. St-Pierre completed a post-doc in New Zealand where he worked in systems modeling and farm economics.  More recently, he also served as an Endowed Professor with the University of the State of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
