AFIA welcomes three new team members
The newcomers are Codi Coulter, Kori Chung and Erica Burson
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has added three new staff members: Codi Coulter, Kori Chung and Erica Burson.
"As we continue to grow as an industry, and in membership, AFIA's internal team must also grow. In the past few months, we have hired three team members who add value to our communications, membership, and legislative and regulatory teams' success," said AFIA President and CEO Joel G. Newman.
"I look forward to witnessing the contributions Codi, Erica and Kori make, as AFIA continues to provide the highest level of service to our membership," Newman added.
Coulter joins as AFIA's communications coordinator. She supports Miranda McDaniel, AFIA director of communications, in drafting, editing and distributing AFIA's print and electronic communications. Coulter will lead AFIA's social media presence and the development and dissemination of content across digital platforms.
Coulter has communications experience in the food supply chain system through the restaurant industry. She earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications from Texas Tech University.
Chung serves as AFIA's legislative and regulatory assistant. She provides support to the legislative and regulatory team, assisting in day-to-day operations. She is also responsible for AFIA's advocacy tool, Voter Voice, and team surveys.
Chung is the former office manager at a D.C.-area wellness group. She recently obtained her Associate of Science degree and is pursuing her bachelor's in community health.
Burson serves as AFIA's membership assistant. Her primary duties include supporting the membership, meetings and communications departments.
Burson has a diverse public policy background, working as a legislative assistant for former Sen. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.). Burson holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in public policy from Duke University.
Coulter, Chung and Burson joined AFIA in November, October and July, respectively.
