Call for Golden ARC Award entries

The Agricultural Relations Council (ARC) has issued a “call for entries” for the 2017 Golden ARC Awards.

The Agricultural Relations Council (ARC) has issued a “call for entries” for the 2017 Golden ARC Awards. The annual competition includes 46 categories for agricultural public relations activities as campaigns and individual tactics conducted in full or partially in the year 2016.

The Golden ARC Awards contest, the most prestigious awards in ag PR, honors the stellar work created by professionals in the agricultural industry. The format and requirements for the Golden ARC Awards are similar to other leading PR awards programs, based on best practices for public relations and public affairs campaigns and tactics. The Golden ARC Awards began in 1990.

Categories fall into two divisions – Campaigns and Tactics. A student category is also available, with free entry to student ARC members. The categories cover the broad scope of ag public relations and public affairs activities today, reflecting the evolution of agricultural public relations and with an added focus on social media.

The Golden ARC de Excellence award for the best all-around entry in the campaigns division will also be awarded.

Entries may be submitted until April 15 at 11:59 p.m. EST with an entry fee of $175. Both ARC members and non-members may enter the competition. Non-members pay an additional $190 with the first entry, thereby becoming a member of ARC.

The winners will receive their honors at the ARC annual meeting, June 20-22 in Sacramento, Calif.
