Aviagen hosts Ross Saudi Arabian customer to share best practices

Latest in poultry housing, biosecure feed seen at Aviagen Anadolu

Aviagen recently welcomed Ross 308 customer Al Watania and Pure Breed – Al Watania’s supplier and the exclusive distributor for Ross 308 in Saudi Arabia – to its Turkish business unit Aviagen Anadolu.

The visit was organized by Aviagen’s Middle East and Africa (MEA) distributor support team and Pure Breed. Attendees included Al Watania’s Vice President of Production Mohamed Al Shaya, Production and Project Manager of Al Watania Abdelhafed Alqaisse, and PureBreed CEO Moeen Alkhatib. The aim was for Al Watania to see the latest developments in poultry housing suitable to the disease and temperature challenges of the Middle Eastern environment and to see the production of biosecure feed first-hand.

The delegation viewed Aviagen Anadolu’s state-of-the-art grandparent farm and recently completed stand-alone feed decontamination unit, built to further improve biosecurity by producing pathogen-free feed for Turkish grandparent farms. Representatives also met with Aviagen Anadolu teams to discuss best operational and production practices, biosecurity and modern developments in poultry house construction.

International Commercial Manager for Ross MEA, Bulent Tanyildizi, commented, “Supporting our key customer and distributor Pure Breed was at the core of this trip. It was also an ideal platform to share the latest information and technology, harness our extensive global industry knowledge and discuss opportunities and synergies between Al Watania, Pure Breed and Aviagen. The visit also provided a unique opportunity for our Saudi Arabian customers to learn about Aviagen Anadolu’s investment in its state-of-the-art facilities to ensure the supply of pathogen-free parent stock for the Turkish market. We thank Al Watania and Pure Breed for their continued loyalty and Aviagen Anadolu for its hospitality, and look forward to future field visits like this.”
