Bettcher Industries, Inc. announces that Gregor Thomalla has been named Managing Director of Bettcher GmbH. The appointment was effective on January 1.
Prior to being promoted to managing director, Thomalla served as an international sales manager at Bettcher GmbH. In his new position, Thomalla is responsible for directing Bettcher Industries’ manufacturing, marketing and administrative operations across Europe. Bettcher GmbH is based in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Thomalla has an extensive background in the food processing industry. Before joining Bettcher in 2016, he held a variety of progressive-responsibility sales, service, business development and management positions. At Ishida Europe, Ltd., a manufacturer of food packaging, weighing and quality control equipment, Thomalla was responsible for product sales in Poland, the Baltic States and Belarus.
Before that, Thomalla held several managerial positions at CFS Germany, a food processing machinery manufacturer owned by GEA, where he concentrated on product sales and solutions for customers in Central and Eastern Europe.
