Palomar is pleased to announce the promotion of Brett Cohrs to Vice President of Marketing in the company’s Atlanta, Georgia office.

Since 2015, Cohrs has been working wholly with members of the United Egg Producers (UEP) connecting egg farmers with sustainable insurance options tailored to their operations. He is uniquely positioned to understand the product needs of the egg industry and farmers who may incur losses.

“The egg industry is a complex business to insure,” stated Cohrs. “It is a privilege to serve this industry, and I’ve been given an amazing education from my colleagues who have served the UEP for decades.”

Palomar has been the endorsed insurance broker for the United Egg Producers for the last 12 years, offering an exclusive property insurance program available only to UEP cooperative members.

“Brett was appointed to work solely with the UEP team and has been helping to refine the program the last few years,” says Lane Milam, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “He has done an exceptional job to create a viable, long-term option and to improve the risk profile of egg farmers.”

Cohrs began his insurance career in 2002 as a claims auditor for the Southeast office of Blakely Crop Hail, a multi-peril crop and hail administrator. In January of 2004, he transitioned into sales as a producer with Hamby & Aloisio, an independent agency in the Metro-Atlanta area. Brett became a marketing director for Hamby & Aloisio in 2012 and specialized on their non-profit and social service team while continuing to develop his own commercial lines book of business. Brett has greatly contributed to the success of Palomar since joining the company 2015.

Brett earned his B.A. in from Washington and Lee University. He serves on the board of Aaron and Andrew Ministries in Atlanta and gives back to the community by directing marketing for local non-profit organizations.
