DuPont receives Canadian approval for Optimum GAT trait

The trait will provide broader spectrum weed control for greater yield.

Optimum GAT, DuPont's propriety herbicide tolerance trait in corn and soybeans, has received full Canadian regulatory approval for cultivation, feed and food, Reuters reported.

The trait will reportedly facilitate new herbicide options that will provide broader spectrum weed control without compromising crop safety.

DuPont business Pioneer Hi-Bred, which developed the trait, provides customized solutions for farmers, livestock producers, and grain and oilseed processors.
