Discussions held on meat trade policy, trade cooperation as well as development.

Over 800 industry experts from 30 countries attended the fifth International Meat Secretariat World Pork Conference in Qingdao, North China, held September 3-4.

Under the theme “Modernization of the World Pork Industry – Science, Health, Stability and Sustainability,” the two-day conference was divided into four parts — the global meat trade policy, the effect of technology achievements on the global pork industry, global pork consumption habits, global segmentation standards, trade cooperation and development.

This is the second time China has hosted the World Pork Conference. The first was in Nanjing two years ago.
