Kristin McWhorter, executive director of the National Poultry and Food Distributors Association, has been chosen for the Alumni Association Award of Excellence given by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
Among other contributions that helped make NPFDA a strong and viable organization, she launched the NPFDA Poultry Supplier Showcase in 1994, a tradeshow that allows companies to display their products to potential poultry customers.
The award recognizes an alumnus of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences who has excelled in his/her chosen field or community. McWhorter will receive the award at the college’s annual banquet to be held at the Classic Center in Athens on September 25.
