After a hugely successful but very limited launch in 2020, Perdue Farms is bringing back its Perdue ThanksNuggets turkey nuggets.

“We were so excited by the overwhelming response to our limited-edition Perdue ThanksNuggets last year that we knew we had to bring them back and ensure more consumers could get their hands on a bag,” Jon Swadley, Perdue Premium Prepared Foods vice president of marketing, said in a press release. “Now, thanks to our retail partners, consumers can find Perdue ThanksNuggets in stores nationwide this year so they can conveniently purchase and enjoy the best flavors of Thanksgiving in one bite.”

In 2020, in advance of Thanksgiving, Perdue launched the limited edition turkey nugget products, in which 100 bags of ThanksNuggets were available, with the company selecting 100 as its number because it coincided with the 100th anniversary of Perdue Farms. The consumer interest was high, as the company sold out of ThanksNuggests in less than three minutes. Following the sellout, Perdue posted the following message online: “(We) understand some are disappointed they were  not able to snag this limited-edition product for Thanksgiving. Make sure to stay tuned for news on how you might still be able to get your hands on a bag!”

Following that success, Perdue in 2021 will make the products available in grocery stores nationwide, such as Walmart, Sam’s Club, Kroger, ShopRite, Costco, Safeway, SuperValu, Price Chopper, Weis and Wegmans. However, the turkey nugget products will still only be available for only a limited time -- during the Thanksgiving season.

According to Perdue’s press release, the limited-edition nuggets pair the No Antibiotics Ever turkey consumers love with sweet potato seasoned breading, for a unique holiday snack, offering the best flavors of Thanksgiving into each bite.

ThanksNuggets will be sold in 22-ounce packages.

Perdue Farms is the eighth largest turkey company in the United States. In 2020 the company processed 300 million pounds of live turkeys.
