Bernie Adcock, a former chief supply chain for both Tyson Foods and Beyond Meat, has joined the leadership team at Pilgrim’s Pride.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as head of retail and QSR at Pilgrim’s,” Adcock wrote on his LinkedIn profile.

A spokesperson for Pilgrim’s Pride confirmed that Adcock joined the company in that capacity in late September.

Pilgrim’s Pride is the second largest broiler producer in the United States, trailing only Tyson Foods. The company, which is majority-owned by JBS, also has operations in Mexico and Europe.

Adcock’s tenure with Tyson Foods spanned about 31 years, and he served as Tyson’s chief supply chain officer for about eight of those years. He joined the Beyond Meat team in a similar capacity in December 2021.

However, through a securities filing that can be found on Beyond Meat’s investor relations webpage, Beyond Meat announced Adcock’s resignation. The securities filing, dated September 20, stated that Adcock was leaving Beyond Meat “to pursue another opportunity.”

Beyond Meat also stated that it would be eliminating the chief supply chain officer position. Duties performed by Adcock will be handled by Jonathan Nelson, the company’s senior vice president, manufacturing operations.
