Joseph Magadi has been appointed operations manager of UFAC-UK’s specialist mill near Oakham, Rutland, United Kingdom, where he will be responsible for raw material buying, formulation, quality control and production. UFAC-UK is a supplier of nutritional supplements to the animal feed industry.
Magadi will work alongside his predecessor, Francis Palmer, prior to Palmer’s retirement later this year.
Magadi has wide experience in the feed industry in Africa and the United Kingdom, and has managed mills producing up to 90,000 tonnes of feed annually. He earned a bachelor of science degree with honors in agriculture at Nairobi University in Kenya and, in the United Kingdom, a master of science degree in nutrition at Aberdeen University and a master’s of business administration degree at Liverpool University.
