Former UF director inducted into AFIA Liquid Feed Hall of Fame
Dr. Findlay M. Pate gains posthumous honor
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has posthumously inducted Dr. Findlay M. Pate, the former director of the University of Florida's Range Cattle and Education Center, into the AFIA Liquid Feed Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame was established in 2003 to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry's science and growth. Pate, who died in 2006, was the Center's director for 22 years before his retirement in 2005. He was known for his support of county extension faculty, and conducted numerous research projects focusing on the use of cane-molasses based supplements for use in private pasture cattle.
