Allen Family Foods Inc. has achieved Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000, Level 3 Certification, aligning itself with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.

"Allen Family Foods is a member of a very small and elite group as it is one of the first vertically integrated poultry companies in the United States to be SQF 2000, Level 3 certified," said Jane Pappin, SQF Certification Manager for Cert ID. Gaining SQF Certification verifies that a company's food safety and quality management system complies with both international and domestic safety regulations.

"This system has a high level of expectations in enhanced programs and procedures to meet the demands of the global consumer," said Allen's Vice President of Quality Assurance Lance Hill. "A Level 3 company must transform its quality program into a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)-type format."
