Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games close

On October 10, the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games closed in Lexington, Ky., following 16 days of events. The final attendance exceeded 500,000 with 50,000 spectators on October 2 to watch the cross-country event.

On October 10, the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games closed in Lexington, Ky., following 16 days of events. The final attendance exceeded 500,000 with 50,000 spectators on October 2 to watch the cross-country event. Globally, more than 400 million viewed the action on television.

Alltech president Dr. Pearse Lyons stated, “It was a privilege for Alltech to serve as first-ever title sponsor of the World Equestrian Games, and we cannot be more pleased with what was achieved by our collective team who dared to dream of what this event could become through hard work and creativity.”

The event provided the opportunity to enlighten 63,000 school children in Kentucky with prospects of sustainability, the future of farming agriculture and aquaculture.
