Aviagen’s central and eastern European technical team organized two workshops with Xavergen, a poultry producer in the Czech Republic, focusing on "Critical Points of PS Management."
The events, which took place in Kyjov, Moravia, and in the historic Dobris Castle near Prague, were attended by over 50 delegates, mostly farm managers and technical personnel from Xavergen. Neil Clark, Aviagen’s area technical manager, gave a presentation on the critical points in the rearing and production period. He shared helpful hints and tips to maximize performance, and ultimately profit, through enhanced management.
“These meetings were extremely valuable to our personnel," said Milos Zima, technical director of Xavergen. "Education and knowledge transfer are a vital part of our organization. The information on critical periods in the life of a Ross flock was invaluable and the interaction between the participants was great — we all learned something new from each other.”
