China bans Netherlands poultry over avian flu concerns

Products from Netherlands' Zeeland provice affected

China's Ministry of Agriculture has banned poultry products imported from the Netherlands' Zeeland province after an outbreak of H7N1 bird flu virus was reported in the area, according to reports.

Any poultry products mailed to or carried into China from the Netherlands will be returned or destroyed, said Ministry officials. Any products found on ships, planes or trains will be sealed.
