Agriculture energy producer signs deal to enhance technology

Homeland Renewable Energy, a Pennsylvania-based agricultural-waste-to-energy specialist, has announced that its anaerobic digestion division, Homeland Biogas Energy, has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with AD technology provider Achor Anaerobic LLC. Under the agreement, HB Energy will use Achor’s “achorlytic” enzyme and digestion-inoculating technology to enhance the productivity of anaerobic digestion in its projects in the U.S. and elsewhere.

Homeland Renewable Energy, a Pennsylvania-based agricultural-waste-to-energy specialist, has announced that its anaerobic digestion division, Homeland Biogas Energy, has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with AD technology provider Achor Anaerobic LLC.

Under the agreement, HB Energy will use Achor’s “achorlytic” enzyme and digestion-inoculating technology to enhance the productivity of anaerobic digestion in its projects in the U.S. and elsewhere. HB Energy will also work with Achor to license the technology to third parties. Achor and HB Energy plan to conduct large scale tests of the Achor technology at AD facilities operated by HB Energy in Wisconsin. The results of the tests are expected to be available during the summer.
