A new website to encourage employment in the poultry industry has been set up in the UK.
Established by the British Poultry Council, Poultry People provides details of the major companies and colleges working with poultry as well as case studies that examine roles within the sector. The site also gives details of poultry consumption and production in the UK along with useful links. “It doesn’t matter whether you want to be a farm manager, a food technologist, a factory manager or a marketing specialist - this is one industry that has opportunities,” say the site’s organizers.
