The happy egg co wins welfare awards

UK free range egg producer the happy egg co. was recognized three times for its commitment to welfare in late November's British Free Range Egg Producers Association Awards.The happy egg co. producer Ann Herbert won Producer of the Year for producers with more than five years' experience, while Ben Wharfe was recognized as Producer of the Year for those with less than five years' experience.

The happy egg co. producer Ann Herbert won Producer of the Year for producers with more than five years' experience, while Ben Wharfe was recognized as Producer of the Year for those with less than five years' experience.

The happy egg co. also won the award for Marketing Initiative of the Year for its "happy hens lay tastier eggs" campaign. This included creating a calendar of rooster pin-ups just for hens and building the Pancake-omatic - a Wallace and Gromit-style contraption that created the perfect environment for laying the tastiest eggs and producing the freshest pancakes.

Steve Horton, marketing director at the happy egg co., said, "We are absolutely delighted to have received so much recognition at the BFREPA Awards, especially for our producers who work so tirelessly to give their girls everything they need to live life to the full."
