In partnership with the San Francisco 49ers and FOX Sports, Foster Farms has announced that the 2017 Foster Farms Bowl will take place on Dec. 27 at Levi’s Stadium. The 16th annual Bay Area bowl game, which features a matchup between top teams from the Pac-12 and the Big Ten, will once again be televised on FOX broadcast network and simulcast in Spanish on FOX Deportes.
The teams competing in the Foster Farms Bowl will support the community’s ongoing fight against hunger as players and coaches will participate in a day of service during their visit to the Bay Area. This year the representatives from the Pac-12 and Big Ten will serve meals to those in need at GLIDE and St. Anthony’s in San Francisco on Christmas Day. In addition, Foster Farms will play a lead role in the event’s community engagement platform and will again donate a meal to local hunger relief organizations for every ticket sold to the game.
“Foster Farms is delighted to continue supporting the Bowl game,” said Foster Farms CEO Laura Flanagan. “Our support of this event extends beyond football – we are committed to continuing this game’s tradition of supporting the fight against hunger in our local communities.”
The 49ers also announced their new Bay Area College Football Fan Program that features ticket bundles for fans looking to take in all the college gridiron action at Levi’s Stadium, as well as seating priority for SBL holders, year-round partner discounts, and entry into valuable college football related prize opportunities. The fan program will be offered in the coming weeks to current SBL holders and then to the public in late summer, when individual tickets go on sale for both games.
“The Foster Farms Bowl has been a perfect fit for Levi’s Stadium, and the exposure we receive from FOX as our broadcast partner directly supports our efforts to enhance the impact of the game across the Bay Area and beyond,” said Foster Farms Bowl director Ryan Oppelt. “The Bay Area is home to passionate football fans so we believe our new Bay Area College Football Fan Program will provide a lot of benefit to fans looking to attend the Foster Farms Bowl and Pac-12 Football Championship Game this year.”
For a membership fee of $20, fans looking to attend the Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Dec. 1 and the Foster Farms Bowl on Dec. 27 will get access to reduced, early-bird pricing for both games. That one-time fee is waived for SBL holders, who receive the added benefit of being able to opt-in to buy their same seats for both games if their licenses are for the 100, 200, or select other levels.
Members of the program will also receive a 15 percent discount on Levi’s Stadium concessions at the college games, partner discounts to be announced in the coming months, a commemorative t-shirt with every ticket purchased, and invitations to exclusive Bay Area college football events during the year. Finally, all members will be entered to win a VIP Rose Bowl experience or tickets to the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship to be held at Levi’s Stadium on Jan. 7, 2019.
“We are excited to once again showcase the Foster Farms Bowl on broadcast television and in Spanish on FOX Deportes,” said Larry Jones, FOX Sports Executive Vice President, Business. “Last year’s game went down to the wire, and we look forward to another great showdown in 2017.”
