Contributing in-depth nutrition advice to ensure optimal flock performance will be the goal of Seyfi Ay as Poultry Nutrition Specialist for Aviagen. In this new role, he will work hand-in-hand with customers of Aviagen’s poultry breeding stock to develop the most suitable nutrition programs to meet their individual needs.
Effective Nov. 1, Ay will support customers in Turkey, the Middle East, South Africa and parts of Russia and will report to Alex Corzo, Aviagen’s global head of Nutrition Services.
Rich background in poultry nutrition
Ay gained his poultry nutrition expertise through his extensive education and experience. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and an MS in Nutrition from the University of Ege in Izmir, Turkey. For the past 25 years he has held various positions as a poultry nutritionist. From 2005-2010, he worked for Aviagen Anadolu in Turkey. He comes to Aviagen from a sister company, EW Nutrition.
Back to what he loves most
“After serving for the past decade on the commercial side, I’m excited to get back to what I love the most – working closely with customers and sharing advice and experiences,” says Ay enthusiastically. “I thrive on learning their unique approaches and, together, finding the best nutrition program to raise healthy, disease-resistant Aviagen birds. Since each country has its own unique conditions and challenges, every day and every customer visit is different, which makes my job interesting. But what remains constant is my dedication to customers. When they are happy, I’m happy.”
“Seyfi is a valuable addition to our team of global nutrition specialists, who work alongside customers in every corner of the world to customize feeding programs that result in the best flock health and performance. Our team will benefit greatly from Seyfi’s background and understanding of poultry nutrition. He is well-known and highly respected in the industry, particularly in the TMEA region, which will be of great benefit in further deepening important customer relationships,” says Corzo.
