The North American Meat Institute (Meat Institute) announced the promotion of Eric Zito to vice president of exposition and member services. Zito, who has served at the Meat Institute for 11 years, manages the association’s member services, tradeshow and sponsorship programs.
“Eric Zito’s expertise in member services and conference management have proven invaluable to the Meat Institute, to our members and to the entire industry,” said Meat Institute President and CEO Barry Carpenter. “This well-deserved promotion reaffirms the important role Eric plays as part of our team.”
Zito most recently served as the Institute’s senior director of exposition and member services. Earlier this month, he received the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events. The CEM is a globally recognized certification that demonstrates the highest professional standard throughout the exhibition and event management arena.
“Eric’s unparalleled, in-depth knowledge about Meat Institute member companies coupled with his strong business acumen have been pivotal in steadily increasing our association’s membership base and yielding exponential growth in our annual tradeshow and events,” Carpenter added.
Zito earned a bachelor’s of science in economics from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business.
