Operations have resumed as normal at a Wayne Farms poultry plant in Enterprise, Alabama, after a fire occurred there on August 4.
Wayne Farms spokesman Frank Singleton, in an email, stated that necessary repairs were completed on August 8, enabling the plant to go back online and run on a full schedule.
The fire was discovered around 6:20 a.m. on August 4. A circuit in the plant’s electrical room had apparently caught fire. The incident prompted the evacuation of the plant, where there were about 400 workers at the time.
Crews from three area fire departments responded to the incident. No injuries were reported.
