Luzhou Sanovo Packaging Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Danish Thornico Group, on December 13 held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility in Luzhou, Anhui. This indicates that the world's leading egg packaging business is settled in China.
The Thornico Group is a Danish family-owned company whose founder Thor Stadil owns more than 120 different types of companies worldwide. Its business covers seven areas: food, food technology, real estate, sports and fashion, shipping, packaging and investment. At present, the Sanovo Egg Group, a subsidiary of the group, has established Suzhou Oufu Egg Industry Co., Ltd. and Sanovo Egg Equipment Technology Company in China.
Paper packaging business is one of Thornico's seven business segments, and currently has 15 production bases in Europe, North and South America, and Southeast Asia. The landing of egg packaging business in China will bring world-class technology to the field of egg packaging in China.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Ernesto Walter Schonbrod, chairman of the company; Wu Fangjie, general manager; Mogens, commercial president of Danish Hartmann; Pan Jinzhong, deputy director of the management committee of the state-level Luzhou Economic Development Zone, and the party work committee of the state-level Luzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Yinzhou Senwo Paper Packaging Co., Ltd. has a total investment of about 120 million yuan, and plans to build a project with an annual output of 200 million pieces of molded egg packaging products. The production technology of the project comes from Hartmann, a subsidiary of the Thornico Group. In the future, paper egg packaging products will use 100% recyclable and biodegradable materials, and will be committed to an environmentally friendly and sustainable business model.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Ernesto, chairman of Senwo, said in his speech that the egg packaging business has broad prospects for development. China is a big country for laying hen breeding, egg production and egg consumption, with an annual output of about 30 million tons of eggs, ranking first in the world China's egg packaging business is in its infancy and product quality needs to be improved. An egg tray / egg box made of recycled paper will effectively protect the eggs and is suitable for long-distance transportation. As the production of eggs in China increases significantly, there will be more demand for egg transportation and packaging business, so the demand for high-quality egg tray packaging products will continue to increase. In his speech, Ernesto emphasized that China is now a critical period for the development of egg products and hoped that we could bring global egg packaging technology to China and jointly promote the development of China's egg industry.
