The goodwill gesture is apparently well regarded by the government of the China, a major importer of U.S. poultry meat and shell eggs.
Radlo Foods of Massachusetts is the only egg producer among the 18 contributing companies that are principally involved in broiler production, cold storage and trading.
Collected funds will be distributed by the Red Cross.
