WATT’s EcoAgri.Biz is presenting “The Present and Future of Carbon Credit Trading,” an online seminar on September 25 at 1 p.m. (CDT) for agribusiness professionals. Dale Enerson, director of the National Farmers Union Carbon Credit Program and Dave Krog, CEO of AgraGate Climate Credits Corporation will discuss how carbon credits work, how they can be traded, and what value they are to livestock producers. The bulk of agricultural carbon credits have been traded by grain farmers, but increasingly livestock producers are reducing carbon emissions in exchange for credits that can be traded on the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) in the United States.
The webinar will also include: The future of carbon credit policies and trading and examine mandatory cap and trade carbon emission program proposals under both Barack Obama and John McCain. Click here for more information or to register.
