A new call for the
European Commission
to speed up the approval process for imported GM animal feed products has come from the British government. UK secretary for environment, food and rural affairs Hilary Benn, speaking at the Royal Agricultural Show in England, said the government was doing this because it realised the feed question was an important matter for Britain's livestock farmers.
