Krueger receives Poultry Pioneer and Legend Award

American Poultry Historical Society bestows the honor.

The American Poultry Historical Society has honored Dr. W.F. Krueger, a former faculty member at Texas A&M University's department of poultry science, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, with the Poultry Pioneer and Legend Award, according to a news report.

Krueger, who retired in 2006 after 53 years of service, is credited with having worked on genetics and poultry management systems. He also trained the Texas A&M Poultry Judging team which won multiple national championships.

The award honors individuals who have made significant lifetime contributions to the poultry industry.
