Hypor delivered its first GGPs/GPs to Vietnam August 30. Japfa Comfeed Vietnam accepted delivery of the Canadian produced breeding stock for its new pork production business venture.
“Building on our experiences in Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and China, we have a long history for developing partnerships with successful integrators in this region and Japfa Comfeed has an equally distinguished record in animal feed manufacturing, chicken breeding, poultry processing and aquaculture farming throughout the region,” said Raf Beeren, deputy managing director at Hypor.
Vietnam’s agriculture sector, specifically its pork production target, is ambitious, with analysts predicting more than a 40% increase in production in the next three years. The country currently has the world’s fourth largest sow population, according to a release.
