Calling all poultry researchers, the Poultry Science Association (PSA) has opened submissions for abstract proposals for its 2024 annual meeting, set to be held July 15-18 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Applicants can submit their proposals through the association’s website before the deadline on March 18, 2024.
Research categories
Presenters can apply to do an oral or poster presentation on their research, which will fall under one of four categories: research, basic or applied; extension or instruction methods; field reports; and case studies.
A wide range of topics are available to present on like:
· Animal well-being and behavior
· Genetics and molecular biology
· Immunology, health and disease
· Management and production
· Metabolism and nutrition
· Microbiology and food safety
· Physiology and reproduction
· Processing and products
PSA has also created a new category this year – Environmental quality and sustainability – which will only be available for poster presentations.
All presented abstracts will also be published in an e-suppliment to Poultry Science in September 2024.
Student research competition
Students will again have the opportunity to submit their research abstract to the Student Award of Excellence Competition under the same categories as listed above.
PSA is also offering visa invitations to overseas applicants.
And for American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists, attending the annual meeting is about 21 continuing education units.
