Man allegedly stabbed by Tyson Fresh Meats colleague

A man was hospitalized following a stabbing incident that occurred at the Tyson Fresh Meats plant in Dakota City, Nebraska.

The incident took place on February 20, according to a ruralradio.com report.

Officials from the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office reported to the news outlet that when officer arrived on the scene, they discovered that two men had apparently got into a fight, and one of the men apparently stabbed the other.

The injured person was transported to a nearby hospital, but details concerning his condition has not been made public. The suspect was taken into custody, however, no information concerning the charges or whether the suspect is still in custody is available at this time.

The names of the suspect and victim have also not yet been released.

The Dakota City plant, according to earlier reports on WATTPoultry.com, is one of the largest beef processing plants in the United States, employing a workforce of 4,300 people and producing enough beef in one day to feed 18 million people.

Headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas, Tyson Foods is the largest chicken producer in the United States and is a major producer of beef, pork, turkey and animal feed.
