Agribusiness equipment company celebrates 100 years

Seedburo Equipment Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary of providing service to the agribusiness industry in 2012. The company was originally founded in Chicago in 1912 by Leroy Smith as the Seed Trade Reporting Bureau, a publishing company to provide the industry with seed trade and crop reporting information.

The company was originally founded in Chicago in 1912 by Leroy Smith as the Seed Trade Reporting Bureau, a publishing company to provide the industry with seed trade and crop reporting information. Smith sold his interests in the publishing company in 1916, following passage of the Grain Standards Act, to focus the company in equipment sales.
