Doyoo Group has invested RMB 900 million in the construction of an industrialized chicken meat plant in the Kaifeng (Henan province) over the past eight months, making up 78.26 percent of the goal amount for the project, according to reports.
The total investment in this project amounts to around RMB 2 billion, and it is expected to be operational by the end of 2012. The plant will produce 800,000 tons of feed per year, as well as slaughter 60 million chickens, produce 20,000 tons of cooked food and hatch 100 million chicks. Currently, the project’s cooked food plant is operational and the other facilities are still under construction.
