International grains program holds grain elevator managers course

Twenty-six individuals from across the U.S. and Canada involved in grain storage traveled to the International Grains Program for the semi-annual grain elevator managers course, held January 7–11, and including presentations from experts within Kansas State University and the grain industry. Included in the course were presentations from Carl Reed and other professionals such as Wes Peterson, Custom Dryer Service LLC, classroom discussions and workshops.

Twenty-six individuals from across the U.S. and Canada involved in grain storage traveled to the International Grains Program for the semi-annual grain elevator managers course, held January 7–11, and including presentations from experts within Kansas State University and the grain industry.

Included in the course were presentations from Carl Reed and other professionals such as Wes Peterson, Custom Dryer Service LLC, classroom discussions and workshops. Topics covered included grain quality characteristics and grading, psychometrics relating to aeration, operating costs, equipment and fumigation plans. In addition to feed manufacturing and grain management, the International Grains Program offers courses in the areas of flour milling and grain processing, and grain marketing and risk management.
