Wimex, Cobb host hatchery seminar

More than 25 participants took part in the first two-day hatchery seminar organized by the Wimex group in cooperation with Cobb Germany. Wimex General Manager Graf Leopold von Drechsel and Cobb Germany Director James Truscott welcomed the participants to the event at the castle of Schloss Fleesensee in Mecklenburg —Vorpommern.

More than 25 participants took part in the first two-day hatchery seminar organized by the Wimex group in cooperation with Cobb Germany. Wimex General Manager Graf Leopold von Drechsel and Cobb Germany Director James Truscott welcomed the participants to the event at the castle of Schloss Fleesensee in Mecklenburg — Vorpommern.

Hatchery managers from Wimex were joined by hatchery specialist Dr. Ron Meijerhof, the chief veterinarian from the laboratory MMT Dr. Matthias Todte and representatives of HatchTech and Probroed & Sloot.

The main parent stock manager at Wimex, Stephan Klaasen van Husen, explained the production standards, Sibylle Ciripoi spoke on hygiene and disinfection methods in the Cobb Germany parent stock hatchery and Todte discussed the health status and hatching egg hygiene in Wimex farms.

Saeid Najati, local sales consultant for Cobb Germany, presented his practical experiences of the chick quality with the world's most popular broiler breed Cobb500. Tjitze Meters, managing director of HatchTech, Inge van Roovert, HatchTech research and development manager, and Meijerhof gave detailed presentations on hatchery management.
