The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has given its support to UK-based Moy Park Ltd. for its high welfare standards after a recent visit to a company broiler farm in Lincolnshire, England, according to a press release by Moy Park.

"Moy Park has raised the bar for improving welfare in standard chicken production in some key areas," said Marc Cooper from the RSPCA.

Moy Park was the first company to introduce natural light into the rearing sheds, as well as introducing bales into young chicken’s environment to encourage play and express their natural behavior, according to the company.

“We are proud to have pioneered chicken production standards in the UK and are delighted that the RSPCA is supporting our ongoing development,” said Nigel Dunlop, managing director of Moy Park.
