Reflecting the global interest in the elimination of antibiotics for growth promotion (AGPs) in livestock production, half of the presentations slated for the 2016 FIAAP Animal Nutrition Conference will focus on feed additive and ingredient solutions for supplementing and reducing the use of AGPs in animal feed formulations.
The aforementioned FIAAP presentations include:
- Antibiotic reductions in livestock production & effective alternatives
- Reducing antibiotics usage through oxidative stress and inflammation management in post-weaning piglets
- Polyherbals: An antibiotics alternative in the poultry industry
- Use of green tea and probiotics for antibiotic-free broiler production
- Piglet feed formulation without antibiotic growth promoters (AGP)
To generate leading-edge research submissions, WATT Global Media, the organizer of the 7th edition of event, issued a “call for papers” during the summer of 2015. The presentations were selected from dozens of abstracts submitted by feed industry researchers, suppliers and academia.
In addition to the 10 technical sessions, Feed International’s editor Jackie Roembke will offer an exclusive “sneak peek” unveiling of the 2016 World Feed Panorama report, the magazine’s annual analysis of global compound feed production.
The complete list of conference topics and the international groups of speakers can be found here.
The FIAAP Animal Nutrition Conference will be held at the BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 29, 2016. The one-day conference is co-located with the VICTAM Asia exhibition.
Early bird registration, which reduces the admission fee by $50, ends January 25.
