Cherkizovo Group, the largest vertically integrated meat and feed producer in Russia, has appointed Dr. Syed Bukhari as food safety director. He joins Cherkizovo with vast experience in the food safety sector, quality assurance and process control.
During his career, he has held several senior-level positions in major international corporations. From 2013, Bukhari was vice president for poultry production at Arasco Food (Saudi Arabia) and director of quality between 2011 and 2013.
At Cherkizovo, Bukhari will be responsible for overseeing and managing food safety at all of the Group’s production facilities, including RTE, RTC, cold chain supply and sales Q&A support. He will ensure all of the Group’s facilities meet government requirements and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. In addition, Bukhari will work to enhance the operational efficiency of the Food Safety Team by developing all S&OP and implementing HACCP and GMP.
Syed will report directly to John Ross, chief operating officer of the Group.
