AlzChem to start own Creamino distribution in 2019

AlzChem will begin marketing Creamino worldwide through its own distribution. Exclusive cooperation with Evonik will cease on December 31, 2018, allowing AlzChem to offer customers complete services from a single source spanning production to sales.

As of January 1, 2019, AlzChem will begin marketing Creamino worldwide through its own distribution. Exclusive cooperation with Evonik will cease on December 31, 2018, allowing AlzChem to offer customers complete services from a single source spanning production to sales.

The restructuring of global marketing will take place parallel to the significant expansion of capacity for Creamino currently being advanced at the Trostberg site.

AlzChem is investing a total of EUR 50 million in a new production plant for the feed additive and intends to triple its capacities by mid-2019 in order to meet constantly increasing demand.

Ulli Seibel, Chairman of the Executive Board of AlzChem Group AG: “Creamino was developed by AlzChem between 2005 and 2009. Our goal is to further increase value creation within the company through our own sales activities and strategically develop this fast-growing product. In the future, AlzChem will intensify its cooperation with customers with its own sales team and select sales partners while opening up further fields of application in animal nutrition. Creamino exemplifies AlzChem’s strategy to focus on high-quality specialty chemicals, benefitting from megatrends such as global population growth.”

Creamino is a feed additive that the body processes into its own creatine once absorbed by animals. Creamino therefore provides additional energy for healthy growth. This allows farms to reduce the total amount of feed they need. The use of Creamino can therefore lead to cost savings for livestock farmers and to an overall reduction of the ecological footprint of feed production and transport.
