As the U.S. broiler industry continues to change its production practices to meet changing consumer demands, the top poultry companies are investing in growing their integrated production operations, with 27 of the 29 top broiler companies either increasing their production in 2018 or maintaining the same production levels as in 2017, according to WATT PoultryUSA’s March 2019 Top Poultry Companies rankings. In fact, five of the top 10 largest poultry companies retained their leading positions in 2018, and with the exception of Koch Foods, all saw increases in year-over-year production.
