Boehringer Ingelheim announces two hires in US poultry division

Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc. announced two new hires in the U.S. Poultry Division on June 13, 2022.

Dr. Kristen Roza-Sutherland has been named to the role of  Senior Associate Director of Strategic Accounts. 

Roza-Sutherland has been with Boehringer Ingelheim since 2019 as a Poultry Key Account Veterinarian, where she provided technical support to strategic poultry accounts. In addition, she developed the data analytics tool that is used to manage customer diagnostics for the company’s poultry business. 

Roza-Sutherland received her undergraduate degrees in Animal Science and Poultry Science, as well as her DVM, from North Carolina State University. 

In addition, Dr. Travis Schaal has been named to the role of Senior Key Account Manager for the layer business.

Schaal comes to Boehringer Ingelheim from Hy-Line International, where he supervised pedigree and grandparent farms, and hatchery operations for the past nine years. He also led the company’s biosecurity, animal welfare and flock health programs, and worked with distributor grandparent and parent stock operations globally to support production of the highest quality hatching eggs and day-old chicks. 

Schaal received an honors Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences and his DVM from Oregon State University, and board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians.
