Poultry veterinarians celebrate 50th anniversary, give awards

The congress lasted five days

The World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) recently held its XVIth congress in Marrakesh, Morocco, with approximately 1,500 poultry veterinarians and poultry health scientists from 85 countries celebrating the association's 50th anniversary.

The event spanned five days and included presentations from Merial, SP Intervet and CEVA. 

Professors Janet Bradbury, Richard Jones (both from Liverpool University) and Professor Dr. S Fathi Saad from Egypt received honorary life memberships to WVPA. Susan Baignent from the UK received the Bart Rispens Research Award for the best published paper.
