Alltech announces three Europe appointments

Moran is director of EU regulatory affairs

Animal health company Alltech has appointed Dr. Colm Moran as its director of EU regulatory affairs. Moran began working for Alltech in 1996 and was appointed coordinator of microbials research at Alltech’s headquarters in Kentucky in 2001. He later held the positions of coordinator of yeast glycomics research and, most recently, Global Bio-Mos product champion.

Moran has a doctorate in feed biotechnology from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, a master’s degree in food science from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Wales.

Alltech also announced the appointment of Jomi Bernad as general manager of its new office in Barcelona, Spain, and Cathal McCormack as national sales manager for Ireland.

For the last eight years, Bernad has been a sales manager at Probasa, the former distributor of Alltech products to the Spanish market. He has a degree in veterinary medicine from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

McCormack joined Alltech three years ago as regional sales manager for Connaught. Prior to this, he was the training and development officer for a farmer organization. He has a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and marketing from the Galway–Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland.
