Joy Mench joins humane certified group committee

Joy Mench has joined the Scientific Advisory Committee for American Humane Certified, the farm animal welfare program of the American Humane Association. Mench is a professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of California, Davis, and director of its Center for Animal Welfare. She has served on numerous farm and laboratory animal welfare committees and boards including the animal welfare advisory committees of Maple Leaf Farms, the United Egg Producers, McDonald's, Safeway, the Food Marketing Institute and the National Council of Chain Restaurants.
