Namibia poultry producer signs contract with Danish ventilation manufacturer

Danish ventilation system manufacturer SKOV A/S has entered into an agreement with Namibia's Namib Poultry Industries Ltd. to supply complete Combi-Tunnel ventilation systems to a farm with 53 poultry houses. Six of the poultry houses will be for rearing stock, 12 for parent stock and 35 for broilers, according to Namib.

Danish ventilation system manufacturer SKOV A/S has entered into an agreement with Namibia's Namib Poultry Industries Ltd. to supply complete Combi-Tunnel ventilation systems to a farm with 53 poultry houses.

Six of the poultry houses will be for rearing stock, 12 for parent stock and 35 for broilers, according to Namib. SKOV will also supply production control and farm management systems. Among the features of the installed systems are touch-screen technology, a wireless network and a new production module, FarmOnline v.2, used for optimizing poultry production.

The first part of the supply will be delivered in August and the entire farm is expected to be in operation in the beginning of 2012.
